CA Surendra N. Shah

Qualifications : F.C.A., L.L.B., B.Com, DISA

CA S.N.Shah is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has over 35 years of experience in providing legal, consultancy and professional services to large Corporates, Multinational Companies (MNC's) and many Public sector undertakings. In addition, his background includes considerable expertise in advising companies on various strategies.

He had been on the Board of Directors of many public listed companies as an independent director.

A result driven, self-motivated and resourceful Chartered Accountant who started his practice in the year 1983 under the name S.N.Shah & Associates in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He started his career with clear vision in finance sector with core focus of being able to establish new projects in different fields to develop and strengthen economy and industry. He is a first generation professional with more than 35 years of experience in commerce sector where he has carried out work like Project Finance, Corporate Audits, Equity Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Demergers, Management Consultancy, etc.

Achievements in the Field

CA S N Shah has been instrumental and pioneer in getting 1st finance of less than Rs. 10.00 lacs and establishing management controls which has since then went on to become Multinational Companies with Market Cap of More than Rs. 1000.0 crores in following companies:
1. Astral Poly Technik Limited (Astral Pipes) – Current Market Cap of Rs. 15,000 Crore
2. Bodal Chemicals Limited - Current Market Cap of Rs. 1,125 Crore
3. Micro Inks Limited – Unlisted Market Cap of Rs. 20,000 crore
4. Astron Paper & Board Mills Ltd. (2012) – Current Market Cap of Rs. 500 crore

CA Priyam S. Shah

Qualifications : F.C.A., B.Com, C.F.A. Level 2

CA Priyam Shah became the member of ICAI in 2012. He joined S.N.Shah & Associates soon after in the year 2012. Currently He heads the Internal Audit, Finance and Outsourcing Division in the firm.

His areas of expertise are:

Audit and Assurance:

Internal audits, Statutory audits, Tax audits of small firms, companies, mid corporates, Corporates, Audits of nationalized banks; besides rendering Managing consultancy.

Review of Internal Control:

Planning and developing internal control/MIS systems that commensurate with the type and size of the organization so as to suit various industries need

Corporate Finance:

Appraisal of Project, advisory to our clients right from the project inception stage, followed by preparation of the financial feasibility study and project report with optimal financial structuring. He also looks after Liasioning with various banks and Financial Institutions for syndication of various credit facilities for our clients including project funding, arrangement of working capital facilities etc. Alongwith the above services, he also gives guidance and advice on various issues like financial restructuring, private equity capital, foreign currency loans etc.

Primary Market related services i.e. IPO, FPO etc.:

He also looks after various primary market related services in which he works closely with various Merchant Banker and assist in preparation of DRHP, RHP and Prospectus.

CA Firoj Bodla

Qualifications : F.C.A., B.Com

CA Firoj Bodla became the member of ICAI in 2007. He passed CA PE II with 47th rank all over India in May 2003 and joined the S.N. Shah initially as paid assistant. He then went on to become partner of the firm in the year 2007. He is Engaged in all types of Bank Audits, Corporate Audits, Tax Audit & Income Tax Consultancy and Income Tax matter i.e. CIT appeal, ITAT appeal.

His areas of expertise are:

Internal audits, Statutory audits, Tax audits of small firms, companies, mid corporates, Corporates, Audits of nationalized banks; besides rendering Managing consultancy.

Due to his expertise and core strength in audits, he has been a team leader in carrying out statutory audit of various multi-national Companies & Indian corporates. He has also carried out Ind AS conversion assignments of various listed Companies. He has worked on clients in the manufacturing as well as service sector.

Direct Taxation:

With his in-depth understanding and interpretation of the subject, he has been able to deliver his valuable inputs in drafting as well as appearing before direct tax authorities, Representation before Appellate Authorities, Tribunal and Settlement Commission in respect of cases of clients.

CA Palak Patel

Qualifications : F.C.A., B.Com

CA Palak Patel became the member of ICAI in 2012. She joined S.N.Shah & Associates soon after in the year 2012. Currently she looks after the Project Finance in the firm.

CA Kaivan Parekh

Qualifications : F.C.A., B.Com

CA Kaivan Parekh cleared his CA in the year 2012 started his career in practice. He has been associated with S.N.Shah & associates as a partner since year 2016. Prior to that he was associated with V.V. Patel & Co. for 2 years. He is analytical and optimistic practicing Chartered Accountant having rich professional experience in Indirect Tax matters. Other competencies include audit and compliances.

Indirect Taxes:

In the developing arena of GST, he strives to provide advisory services in relation to GST Law and its implications on businesses, legal drafting and correspondences, serving opinions on technical matters, representation before judicial authorities. He has advised and represented clients, ranging from individuals to corporate.
